I’d love to introduce someone very special — our amazing girl, Alexa.
Alexa is a sassy, outgoing 8-year-old who lights up every room. She was born with complex congenital heart defects, including Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia (TOF/PA), VSD, and MAPCAs. Over the years, she has bravely undergone multiple cardiac procedures, including 4 open-heart surgeries and 19 catheterizations, 2 unifocalizations.
In 2020, Alexa experienced a brain bleed that led to three additional bleeds, two strokes, and seizures. It’s been a long and challenging road, but she continues to show incredible strength and resilience as she recovers and makes progress every day.
Despite everything, Alexa is full of joy and personality. She uses an AAC device to communicate and has plenty to say! She loves music, dancing, animals and has a big interest in tractors and cars. She’s in second grade and loving it.
