In 2019 this very special little girl named Alexa came into my life. From the moment I met her she stole a piece of my heart. Alexa is a sassy and outgoing 8 almost 9 year old who lights up every room and is the big sister to my son Weston. She is an amazing big sister and the bond they share and the love they show each other is unconditional. Alexa has continued to amaze me with her determination to overcome everything thrown at her.
She was born with complex congenital heart defects, including Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia (TOF/PA), VSD, and MAPCAs. She has bravely undergone 4 open-heart surgeries, 19 cardiac catheterizations, and 2 unifocalization thoracic surgeries.
In 2020 Alexa suffered a brain bleed that led to three additional bleeds, two strokes, and many seizures. It's been a long and challenging road, but she continues to show incredible strength and resilience every single day.
Despite it all, Alexa is full of joy and personality. She uses an AAC device to communicate and has PLENTY to say! She loves music, dancing, animals, tractors, and cars. Alexa currently is also happily thriving in second grade. Please consider donating to this special cause. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!
