Amelia was diagnosed with a CHD at 3 months old. We were told that she developed the Coarctation of the Aorta at birth but it wasn't detected for a couple months. Once discovered she had heart surgery almost immediately and has been thriving ever since. Every year we bring her to the Cardiologist for testing and so far have been so fortunate to not have any restrictions or additional procedures up to this point. As Amelia has gotten older she has had to do additional testing and has learned more about her condition. She has taken it all with positivity, strength, and stride. We are so incredibly proud of her and all that she continues to accomplish.
