Brian Lenihan was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend. He beat the odds and was a strong fighter for his entire life. He was born with a heart defect (no right ventricle) and was told he would not live past age 3.
After 5 open heart surgeries, 3 strokes, 2 pacemakers, and over 1,000 days in the hospital Brian lived his fullest life! At a young age of 41, we lost our amazing heart hero.
Our last family gathering was on Sunday June 23rd 2019 at Its My Heart annual heart walk. It was a wonderful peaceful day and so fortunate and grateful that we had that day together 5 days before he left us.
It’s My Heart New England organization has been a tremendous support group for the Lenihan family. We would like to continue to support other families who battle with CHD. We will always gather on this day to remember brian and support other families dealing with same stressful hospital stays / surgeries that we have had to deal with in the past.
Please consider donating to a wonderful organization in memory of Brian Lenihan, our heart Angel.
