Hi friends, as many of you know, I was born with a congenital heart defect (CHD) called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndome (HLHS) and have undergone three open heart surgeries. As they do every year, It’s My Heart New England is holding their annual walk on June 25th. Some amazing things It’s My Heart New England does to support CHD families includes support for families of Heart Angels, paying for hospital meal and parking vouchers, fun events for CHDers, scholarships, and spreading CHD education. This program has supported me so much throughout the years as a past scholarship recipient, and has gifted me a community of incredible CHDers.
