Welcome Tucker's Troopers!

Tucker David was born on October 18th, 2011 with Tricuspid Atresia. Although his heart was FULL, sadly, it was broken. Tucker has had a cardiac catheterization at several days old to determine if he had to have open heart surgery. He was just four months old when he underwent a corrective open heart surgery called the Glenn to update the blood flow to his upper body. Then at age 2 Tucker went the palliative surgery called The Fontan to correct the blood flow to his lower extremities. His final diagnosis is Pulmonary ATresia with an Intact Ventricular Septum. PAIVS for short. Despite all of his challenges, Tucker continues to be our loving little trooper!

It's My Heart New England helps families in and out of the hospital and we know first-hand how important groups like this one are. We walk in support of Tucker as well as all of his heart friends and angels. We walk to spread awareness for the number 1 birth defect in the world. 1 out of every 100 babies is born with CHD, yet funding and research is more than 5 times lower than for all childhood diseases combined and children continue to die because there are no more treatments left for them.

The way to change this is to spread awareness. Awareness = Funding; Funding = Research; Research = Answers and better treatments!

Thank you so much for helping us help others!
Heart Hugs and much love,
The Watsons
